About Kees Menken

I am a director with international experience in the field of operations and general management, for both family businesses and multinationals. Since the start of my career, I have been passionate about transport and logistics. I have broad knowledge of and experience with global transport, supply chain, product development, reorganisations/change management, freight, administration, procurement, sales and IT positions. As a director, I have held responsibility within line and matrix organisations. I have also successfully managed reorganisations and complex projects. In addition to implementing the strategy, learning to understand the interests of customers and staff are key in my management teams. I have lived and worked in Austria, Germany, Belgium and the Netherlands. Improving organisations and developing teams and colleagues energises me. I achieve this by encouraging knowledge sharing and coaching staff in innovation and creativity. My strength lies in getting colleagues on board to realise and consolidate changes. I am open and direct in communication with all stakeholders. As a manager, I work hard to achieve a tight-knit team. I also strive to learn from other teams and developments in the market. I am at my best in an environment where I can work cross-functionally, where results must be achieved and consolidated. My staff can rely on me to provide direction, to remove obstacles and to serve as an example in acting in the general interests of the organisation. I make committed decisions, while making use of all input from staff and with a genuine interest in others. Integrity in relationships is important in everything I do. I am most suited to roles where there is dynamism, freedom to act and where the collective results are most important. My strength lies in quickly analysing complex problems, setting priorities effectively and then tackling these with a positive and determined attitude.
