About Keisha Tyson

The reason I am pursing a major in the BSUS degree vs a Traditional Degree is because of my GPA re-quirements not being met into the Bachelors in Family Community Service. My future career was to get my Bachelors in B-K, but I already have my Associates’ in Early Childhood Education. When I got accepted here at ECU, I changed my major twice to Bachelors in B-K to Bachelors in Family Community Service because they both dealing with children and families which is my passion. Finally, I got placed into this University Studies program because of some courses that help me graduate earlier. So, within my thematic core, I have learned that I been taking a lot of Human Development and Family Science courses, B-K courses and Social Work courses. The reason for me taking all courses like I stated above is because I had to many undecided choices of degrees I wanted to accomplish in life. My thematic core that I have chosen for my post-graduation pathway is Family Service Advocacy because it focuses on the principles of family development and family services. Finally, I know that all these thematic core course I have taken will help me with what I like to become in life. I will apply all this information during post-graduation once I look of what helps me be successful in learning about families and become a good leadership for myself that I can do anything if I put my mind into what I want to be. My slogan, “Believe in yourself, you can achieve anything that you set your mind to. There are no limits out here, the only limits are those that you impose upon your-self. Dream, believe and take actions”.
