About Keith Campbell

After graduating as a mechanical engineer I decided I would like to specialise in the renewable energy sector as I believe it is a growing market and will be of increasing importance to maintaining and improving quality of life throughout the world. I then enrolled in a course on 'sustainable energy systems' and achieved a diploma qualification. After graduating I applied for a position at Turner Technical Services Ltd (TTS) as a project engineer. TTS focussed on mechanical and electrical design and there was an emphasis on sustainability throughout their design process. I performed a number of energy audits for clients throughout scotland and was involved in several renewable energy projects. From July 2010 until January 2013 I worked independently as an energy consultant, securing numerous contracts with professional engineering firms who required my expertise in the fields of energy efficiency and renewable energy. This provided many new challenges and helped me develop new skills. I am currently working as a Sales Engineer at MacTaggart Scott under the job title Sales Engineer - Renewables. My role is to help the company expand in the field of renewable energy utilising our existing skills in marine environment technology. I am also supporting the sales team in general sales and marketing activities including writing sales proposals, utilising our project management software and updating the company website.
