What kind of world do you want to live in? Two plus decades of cleantech experience on our journey together to sequester carbon in meaningful ways. Blessed with a multidisciplinary skill set of development, finance, business, and deep connections globally. The road to your destiny is often a curved line. After growing up on the East Coast, it catapulted me to Hawaii to start a solar company. Along with that fortuitous experience, I was mentored locally and internationally on strategic approaches to business and life. 2002, Jigar Shah called me from BP Solar, seeking to get some penetration into the Hawaii market for solar panels. This fostered a friendship that endures to this day, post the acquisition of my company by SunEdison. Since then, my clients have included Bain & Co, Indaba, MHR Fund Management, Halcyon Capital Management, Moab Partners, Walmart, Hawaiian Telcom, Glenview Capital Management, TPG, US Department of Energy, State of Hawaii, US Department of Defense, Dividend Finance, REC Solar, Blackrock, BCG, Leidos, and other Wall Street firms to Main Street companies. Humbly worked as an expert witness, executive recruiter, business consultant, energy asset advisor, startup mentor, solar developer, owners’ representative, Solar MBA co-instructor, and much more. My work has spanned the US, South America, and Southeast Asia. Worked and traveled throughout Southeast Asia. In Malaysia; Singapore and Kuala Lumpur. Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, and Laos dovetailed with a 1-year visa. Culture and curiosity are equalizers. Decarbonization is paramount.
