Experienced Biologist and GIS Specialist with a diverse background spanning marine, freshwater, and terrestrial ecosystems. Skilled in water quality monitoring, seagrass and benthic resource surveys, coral and sponge assessments, oyster reef evaluation, SAV restoration, ichthyoplankton and meroplankton sampling, sediment sampling, electrofishing, and mussel and clam research, as well as protected species studies. Serves as lead field biologist for projects including Clean Water Act 316 impingement and entrainment monitoring, submerged aquatic vegetation (SAV) restoration, and horseshoe crab relocation and tagging. Combines extensive field-based ecological expertise with formal training in GIS and spatial analysis, supporting environmental permitting, restoration design, and compliance monitoring. Proficient in ArcGIS Pro, Python, Survey123, Field Maps, QGIS, TerraFlex, and Drone2Map, and experienced in developing QA Plans and SOPs to ensure defensible and consistent results across projects. Representative experience includes: Leading benthic resource, coral, and seagrass restoration monitoring projects across the state of Florida. Supporting utility and coastal permitting through environmental assessments, compliance monitoring, and GIS-based habitat mapping. Conducting biological and water quality studies under major programs such as EPA’s 316(a)/(b) compliance, aquifer storage recovery, CERP oyster mapping, and ecological monitoring throughout Florida. Performing drone-based surveys for algal bloom documentation, nearshore habitat assessments, and water quality sampling. Certified FDEP Stormwater Inspector, USFWS Qualified Caracara Observer, FAA Remote Pilot, and FWC Queen Conch Licensed Surveyor, with professional affiliations including the Florida Association of Environmental Professionals and the Environmental Studies Council.
