I am a motivated professional with extensive leadership experience as a Security Manager. I have worked in hospital security for 25+ years, 16 of which have been as a supervisor and manager. As a chair for the Emergency Management Committee I have developed and led training scenarios for active shooter drills and table top exercises. Throughout my career I have participated in multiple drills and disasters for CBRNE, mass casualty & pandemic events. I have completed/participated in multiple FEMA trainings for Hospital Incident command, crisis intervention, workplace violence, active shooter, CBRNE events, and hospital emergency response team (HERT). As the manager of Police and Security I am responsible for the daily operations of the Security Department. Specific duties include managing the budgetary needs of the department, keeping expenses in line, managing access control for building safety, and employee, patient and visitors safety. I am responsible for scheduling, training, developing staff and conducting performance appraisals among other tasks. I understand the changing needs of the customer, and I’m able to effectively deploy staff in order to meet those needs in a cost-effective manner. I am able to implement the department operation plan and goals of the department consistent with the hospital goals. I also act as a liaison to other departments and outside agencies to address any security concerns
