About Keith Friedlander

I am a research administrator, life-long teacher and natural facilitator. With over two decades of post-secondary work experience, I've taught composition and writing, business communications, client relations, first-year intros to poetry, senior-year literary seminars, and more. In my current role, I help to empower college faculty to pursue research and scholarship by facilitating internal grants, creating training materials and resources, and advocating for faculty support. I also take a lot of pride in applying my communication skills to make my college a more collaborative and equitable place to work and learn. That includes facilitating communication between faculty and administration and especially advocating for 2SLGBTQIA+ education and events for staff and students. I continue to pursue my own scholarly research, speaking at conferences and publishing about collaboration and labour conditions in the comics industry and representations of sexuality and gender in North American comics.
