Tēnā koutou katoa As a primary teacher at Stanmore Bay School, I strive to create a respectful, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for my Year 5 and 6 students. I value integrity, curiosity, and creativity, and I encourage my students to challenge themselves and express their opinions respectfully. I have also been a Within School Teacher for our Kāhui Ako for the last two years, focusing on Culturally Responsive Pedagogy. This role has enabled me to collaborate with teachers across all year levels, plan and implement strategic initiatives, and manage change and expectations. I have learned a lot from this experience, and I have applied my skills and knowledge to my classroom practice and professional development. Additionally, I hold a Bachelor of Teaching Primary with Worldview Studies from Laidlaw College, which has enriched my perspective and understanding of education.
