About Keith Glennie
I have been enthusiastic about the drilling industry since I joined as a roustabout 25 years ago and have progressed through the ranks to Deepwater Driller on dual activity Drillships with Pacific Drilling, Noble, Stena Drilling and Valaris Ltd. During my leave time whilst working in the Norwegian Continental Shelf, I gained my Petroleum Engineering diploma through the Kompetanse Institutet AS in Stavanger, Norway in 2013.In January 2023 I became a certified IADC Well Control Instructor teaching level 3 and 4 Well Control, Workover and Completion and Enhanced Well Control for Valaris Ltd utilising the DrillSIM I also teach Stuck Pipe Prevention and Volumetric Stripping when required. In January 2025 I started as a Drilling Performance Coach for Seadrill based out of Dubai leading RSM, DDP, HPT and MPD courses using the DS simulator. The courses are a combination of simulation and technical presentations accompanied by the expertise of CRM specialists.
