About Keith Heary

As a young man, my industrious approach to work has enabled me to not only obtain employment in areas of significant responsibility, but to succeed, advance, and trail-blaze within my field. That field has been the Petrochemical industry. I come to you with 26 years’ experience with a trade background as a dual ticketed Steamfitter/ multi ticketed B pressure TIG welder. This time has been spread out over various roles in the Petrochemical industry. The roles I have held for a minimum of 2 years plus are; Turnaround planner, Turnaround Coordinator, Flange Management Lead, Planner Review Foreman, Superintendent, General foreman, Foreman, and craft positions for Major Maintenance, Maintenance, Projects, Commissioning, and Turnarounds. Concurrent with those roles I have been a member of a Joint Health & Safety committee (Co-Chair), involved with 4DX (cost savings), and a member of a Safe Work Practice Amalgamation Team (Energy Isolation). I have an extensive background working with Operations, Engineering, and Reliability to perpetuate safe operation of and maintenance of their plant. I take the time to familiarize myself with the Safe Work Practices in order to hold myself accountable and to be accountable to the people I lead. I’ve worked as a part of many multidisciplinary teams pivotal to completing jobs on time, on budget, and using only the very best in safety practices. It is through this experience I believe in getting the job done right the first time, working together as a team to find alternative solutions to problems, and ensuring that no one gets hurt in the process.My substantial work experience has enabled me to take on complex, fast paced and challenging situations that demand the ability to switch gears quickly. I believe that my thirst for learning and constant quest for improving will make me an asset to your team. I am eager to take on any new challenges or opportunities that will only continue to educate me, and grow as a person.
