I am a civil engineer with more than 40 years’ experience in the resources development industry. Now semi-retired, I am a project delivery consultant providing the following services: • Project execution strategies/plans • Contracting strategies • Proposal preparation • Project review/audit • Mentoring project managers • Owner’s/Banker’s Engineer • Project Director • Contract claims assessment Since 1994, I have been involved almost exclusively in the pipeline industry, gaining significant management expertise in pipeline and facilities projects in various roles from project management through to business general management. Apart from numerous project positions during that period, I also held the following senior management positions: • Manager, Pipelines for Fluor Daniel Williams Brothers • General Manager, Oil and Gas for Egis Consulting (previously CMPS & F) • Manager, Agility WA (now APA Group) • General Manager WA, OSD • Chief Operating Officer, OSD • Executive Director OSD, OSD Asset Services and OSD Projects • General Manager Major Projects for First Gas (an OSD Alliance partner) • General Manager West, LogiCamms (now Verbrec) Notable project experience includes: • Banker’s Technical Representative for BRUA Gas Pipeline in Romania (EUR480m) • KT-OSD Joint Venture Project Director for West Angelas and Cape Lambert Pipeline projects (AUD150m EPC). • Owner’s Engineer for Newcrest Mining on the AUD100m Telfer Gas Pipeline. • WA Manager for Agility responsible for the operation and maintenance of more than km of gas pipelines in Western Australia including the Goldfields Gas Pipeline. • Board member for the KBE Alliance (Kvaerner, Bechtel & Egis) undertaking the FEED on the Chevron PNG Gas Project. • Project Director for OSD Slurry Group responsible for global slurry activities including Perth and Santiago offices. • Board member for Extension Hill Pipelines Alliance for development of A$600m hydro-transport system.
