Keith is a Director in the Valuation Services practice of Grant Thornton LLP in Dallas and the Central Region Complex Financial Instrument team leader. Keith also has substantial expertise performing valuations for companies with preferred equity financing, such as venture capital and private equity financed companies. He has extensive experience valuing complex financial instruments including embedded derivatives, exotic options, interest rate swaps and other derivatives utilizing closed-form (Black-Scholes) and lattice models as well as Monte Carlo simulations. Keith has specific expertise related to commodity derivatives. Keith possesses broad experience in the valuation of businesses and the underlying intellectual property and intangible assets for both US and international companies. He has served private and public clients across a wide range of industries. He has experience in the areas of: • Valuation of intangible assets for purchase price allocations (ASC 805) • Goodwill and intangible impairment testing (ASC 350/360) • Options/derivatives valuation (ASC 718) • Private company common stock valuation (IRC Section 409A and ASC 718) • Complex Financial Instruments (ASC 815, 820) • General corporate valuation services (including tax valuation)
