I've recently gained membership with the ACCA as a qualified accountant and am now concentrating my efforts on completing the CFA Charter within the next 2 years. I have a strong interest in the financial markets and try to keep up to date with all the latest financial news and events. I have completed a Masters in Economics at University College Dublin involving numerous group projects along with the understanding of quantitative modeling applied by Central banks and financial institutions, providing me with invaluable communication and coordination skills, strong technical knowledge and instilling the ability to work within teams and functions. In my role as a Fund Accountant Manager and Supervisor, I have been exposed to Hedge Funds, Private Equity and a complex Fund of Fund Structure. This has instilled in me a thorough understanding of the compositional and operational aspects of funds and their investment activities. I have a strong knowledge of all the steps involved in the investment and NAV cycle, along with a comprehensive awareness of financial products including equities, fixed income, Repos, Options, Swaps, FX product, debt instruments and the Corporate Actions related to these products. In addition, I have demonstrated my capacity to independently analyse and innovate operations, processes and procedures by increasing efficiencies and automating control checks in day to day practices. Consequently I was selected as a member of a Macro Committee, charged with creating efficiency improvements and the implementation of macros and automation across all teams. I have a proven track record of implementing controls and efficiencies, driving many projects to completion, in particular the migration of a client to a new platform. The migration included developing the reporting requirements of the client through constant communication with the internal development team, platform vendors and external Fund Managers.
