With 20+ years of clinical experience, I am an accomplished radiation oncologist passionate about driving innovation and improving healthcare outcomes. As the Group Head of Medical and Quality for IHH Healthcare, I oversee clinical outcomes, patient safety, and value-based healthcare across IHH's 82 hospitals. As a doctor and senior medical administrator, I possess a unique set of competencies that make me a valuable asset to any organization. I am a visionary leader who can provide strategic direction, promote financial stability, create a positive organizational culture, and oversee the delivery of high-quality patient care. My extensive experience in clinical and medical affairs, leadership, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and stakeholder collaboration allows me to drive organizational success. My research work has been widely recognized with over 1500 citations and $2.5M in grant funding. As the Assistant Dean of the National University of Singapore School of Medicine, I demonstrated exceptional academic leadership skills, creating a culture of innovation and research excellence. I am widely recognized for pioneering the value-based healthcare program in Singapore at the National University Health System. NUHS became the first healthcare cluster to use clinical and financial data to drive value, improve clinical outcomes, and reduce waste under my leadership, resulting in my team and I being conferred the National Medical Excellence Award, the highest medical award in Singapore. As the Director in charge of clinical outcomes and value for Singapore at the Ministry of Health, I was responsible for ensuring high standards of clinical care and implementing value-driven care in all public hospitals. Drawing on my extensive clinical expertise, I played a key leadership role in improving healthcare outcomes in the country. At IHH, I have leveraged my expertise to ensure that clinical performance and safety standards in all its hospitals are world-class. I expanded the scope and coverage of IHH's value-driven outcomes initiative to all its geographies, with the goal of ensuring that more patients receive excellent outcomes and cost-effective care.
