About Keith Marr

A focus on helping highly experienced and capable engineers, managers and leaders achieve better outcomes with less resources, challenging them to think different about problems they aim to solve. The recent proliferation in digital disruption provides an increasingly compelling case and opportunity for such change, enabling me to better help people face up to, embrace and benefit from business led transformations. As Managing Director of Skanska Technology, during the early days of Building Information Modelling, I experienced and learnt the business benefits from embracing digital technology. Implementing digital technology helped me lead the transformation at Skanska Technology. Not only did the business become more profitable, Skanska Technology developed a substantially improved reputation with clients. Results aside, coaching people to behave and operate different in an increasingly digital world, whilst challenging, for me was one of the most rewarding and impactful aspects of the transformation. At and prior to Skanska, I had various design and construction roles on numerous major projects including major UK hospital redevelopments, T5 Heathrow airport, Kuala Lumpur international airport, water transfer schemes and a major hydropower scheme in Indonesia. Since moving to Australia in 2007, I've held senior operational and development roles. Various manager and consulting roles have enabled me to further hone my leadership and organisational development capabilities, both inside and outside a digital context. As a consultant, I have led human-centred design processes for innovation, helping people reveal holistic responses to opportunities and challenges faced by digital disruption.
