About Keith Mason

Keith Mason is a trusted advisor, strategic partner, and investor with more than three decades of experience in public and private finance, government, law, and infrastructure development. He serves in senior advisory roles at Duration Capital Partners, a capital partner for transportation businesses, Paladin Capital Group, the world’s most active cybersecurity specialty fund investor, and CapZone Investments, an Opportunity Zone Management Fund. Mason serves on the Boards of Ports America Chesapeake,LP and Consolidated Chassis Management LLC. Mason brings decades of experience in ports, real estate development, and public policy, while leveraging his social, intellectual, and financial capital to create economic opportunity for the benefit of his partners and multiple stakeholders. He has served a trusted political advisor to national and local political figures, including as a Chief of Staff to a Governor and as a Senior White House official. He has also served as a lawyer for major corporations, governments, and nonprofits in multiple industries. He has served as Board Chair of the Georgia Ports Authority, now the nation’s largest container terminal facility operation and 3rd largest volume gateway and as an investment partner in major economic development projects throughout the Southeastern USA, most notably as the managing investment and development partner in the first purchase of property that created The Atlanta Beltline Project. As a civic leader and volunteer, Mason has also served on the boards of public, private, and nonprofit groups in transportation, education, conservation, commerce, and healthcare, and in 2020 was featured in Georgia Trend Magazine as one of fifteen Legacy Leaders, in recognition of his contribution to business, politics, and economic development. A University of Georgia law and business graduate, he is an Emeritus Trustee of the University’s Foundation, a Founding Board member of the School of Public and International Affairs, and Chair of the University’s Board of Visitors. He has established and funded scholarship programs and a public leadership lecture series, and served as a senior adjunct public service faculty member there. Mason has served as a Trustee of the Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Board, the nation’s 5th largest pediatric health system. Mason has a passionate interest in thoroughbred horse racing and is a Co-Founder of West Paces Racing, the leading owner of 2024 Belmont Stakes Champion —Dornoch, a top 3 Finalist for 3year old Horse of the Year.
