What energizes me most in my work comes down to two themes: turning science into solutions for real-world challenges and helping people thrive by fostering inclusive, high-trust teams. That combination has shaped my journey from early research roles, through leading global teams and projects, while mentoring students, early-career scientists, and other colleagues along the way. A core part of my ability to turn science into solutions is being able to communicate complex ideas in ways that are relatable, understandable, and actionable. I thrive working at interdisciplinary boundaries and use effective communication and inclusive leadership as tools to bring people together around shared goals. Whether it’s presenting gene-editing concepts to diverse audiences, aligning cross-functional teams, or helping others find their confidence and voice, I focus on connection, clarity, and practical impact.I’m driven by the belief that strong science, effective communication, and inclusive leadership can unlock breakthroughs — and help the people behind them thrive.
