CAREER HIGHLIGHTS General management of a software business delivering sales growth of over 30% and profit growth of almost 650%. General management role in a life sciences business, raised £3.5m venture capital investment, £600k from shareholders and £350k from R&D tax credits. General management role in Top 75 law firm delivering regional expansion, 8 years of fee income growth and profit per partner in excess of peers. Trade sale of privately owned food business for £20m (12 x net earnings). Sale of software business to private equity investor for $21m (10 x original investment). Management buyout of print management business with private equity and bank funding. Supporting businesses by creating effective, efficient and low cost finance/operational functions. Constantly improving all aspects of a business to generate profit and cash. SECTOR EXPERIENCE I have worked in a professional accountancy practice, clothing manufacturing, print management and distribution, computer software and consultancy, food manufacturing, retail, legal services, life sciences/medical diagnostics and now the care sector. Although I originally trained as an accountant I am now a general manager and recent roles have involved fund raising, business improvement, turnarounds, and M&A work including the disposal of businesses.
