I build long-term partnerships with clients by advising customers on how to simplify their processes for creating, customizing, producing and distributing printed marketing materials so they can move faster as an organization and capture more opportunity. Do you know how much money it costs you in your print buying supply chain? “For every $1 spent with external production vendors, most organizations spend between $6-$14 on internal process.” I recently worked with a medical device company to revamp the process for their monthly retention program. The medical device company had 145 different locations and multiple retention pieces. We were able to simplify the process and by doing this the company got rid of their inventory altogether, saved on labor cost, and reduced the steps to order the material. Their people became more productive and they saved money from eliminating carrying costs and obsolesce. In my down time I coach youth hockey and one might think that these two things aren’t related but they really are. As a coach, I work with players to understand how plays develop. To be a good player you have to see two, three steps ahead of what’s happening now. I have to do the same thing with my customers. Being able to see how what’s happening now will unfold. It helps me see ways to streamline and ways to make printed communication more efficient.
