About Keith Ruddock

I am a highly experienced Business Leader, Interim Executive and Commercial Consultant, with more than thirty five years’ expertise gained working on large scale transformation strategies: helping to make operational ambitions a practical reality. As you might expect, I also have strong cultural change management, and cost reduction capabilities, as well as being results orientated, with high ethical standards and professional integrity: I have become a trusted and reliable adviser at board level. In 2013, I founded Ruddock Associates as a specialist consulting and advisory service: working with business owners to deliver enhanced profitability and optimal operating systems (including staffing structures), as well as resilient structures for sustainable growth, and since then I have consistently delivered best quality service outcomes year after year, to the highest professional standards. I was, for example, retained to Chair a business employing more than three hundred members of staff: reviewing and addressing a wide variety of operational issues, as well as devising and monitoring implementation of strategic objectives; and with RR Donnelley, I provided strategic direction for a multi site communications business, employing more than six hundred people, with an annual turnover of £16 Million: successfully increasing operating margins from 16% to 25%. I am well known for providing effective P&L ownership and functionality: consistently generating improved operating margins for all of the businesses I have worked with. I was retained to stabilise operations for another client (after loss of a major contract), and went on to implement cost saving measures and strengthen its financial controls over a two year period; and on other assignments, I have introduced critical change initiatives, delivering a 40% increase in sales over two years for a client (from £20 Million to £28 Million: paving the way for its successful sale); secured multiple cost reductions and improved performance outcomes for another client over several years, including elimination of 4% on its cost base adopting increased cost controls and applying lean methodologies, and consolidating multiple operating centres whilst maintaining best working practices. In addition I have strong collaborative engagement and communication skills, and know what it takes to make teams work. I have an MBA from Warwick Business School, and am a Chartered Engineer.
