About Keith Thompson

Mr. Keith Thompson is a Principal Geologist with experience in environmental site investigation and remediation oversight. He has performed field planning, field management/oversight, data reduction/interpretation, and technical report preparation. Keith has conducted site investigations that have included soil sampling, monitoring well installation, test pits, groundwater sampling, and aquifer testing. Keith has been involved with remediation project tasks, including operations and maintenance activities for remediation systems, underground storage tank removal, soil excavation, on-site soil treatment, and landfill construction. Keith has conducted these activities at leaking underground storage tank sites, Illinois Site Remediation Program (SRP) sites, United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) Region 5 Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) corrective action sites, Superfund sites, and property transaction sites. In addition, he has provided oversight for sewer and drainage surveys and investigations at railroad and industrial facilities. He has a strong working knowledge of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency’s Tiered Approach to Corrective Action Objectives (TACO) and Indiana Department of Environmental Management RISC rules. He has also prepared Phase I and II reports for commercial property transactions. Keith has performed task management activities at leaking underground storage tank sites, Illinois Site Remediation Program sites, RCRA sites, Superfund sites, and property transaction sites in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Wisconsin, which involved field coordination, subcontractor coordination, proposal and cost estimate preparation, technical reporting, risk assessment, and budget management.
