About Keith Travis

Since beginning my career with Parsons in 1990, I have gained extensive experience in project management, planning and design for projects administered by various transportation agencies. The types of projects consist of roadway improvements, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), security systems, and commercial building renovation. I have experience in both conventional design-bid-build and design-build type contracts. As Project Manager, I lead project scoping, teaming arrangements, assignment of discipline leads, cost estimating, and scheduling. My other management responsibilities include coordinating with various engineering disciplines, clients, contractors, subconsultants, utility owners, local agencies, community focus groups, and property owners. My planning experience includes public involvement, development of concept plans, traffic analysis and environmental analysis for planning efforts including Master Plan Studies, Interchange Justification Reports (IJR), Environmental Assessments (EA) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS). My final design experience includes serving as Engineer of Record (EOR) for roadway, signing and pavement markings, traffic signals, and ITS component plan sets. My post design experience includes shop drawing review, development of solutions to issues encountered during construction, review/development of detailed test procedures, acceptance testing, inspections, punch list development, and final acceptance.
