About Keith Vaugh

Keith Vaugh graduated from the University of Limerick with a Bachelor of Engineering Degree in Aeronautical Engineering in 1997 and subsequently joined the Athlone Institute of Technology as a member of the academic staff in In 2002, he graduated from the Galway Mayo Institute of Technology with a Masters of Engineering by Research. The focus of his research was New Product Development and RPTM. He has continued to focus research efforts in this area and established a research focus within the college in 2003 which later became part of the Centre for Industrial Services Design. Over the past years, Keith has focused on teaching and learning rather than research and lectures extensively on core Engineering programmes, including engineering design, energy systems, renewable energy technologies and thermodynamics. He has led the development of several new programmes in Mechanical Engineering and Sustainable Energy Engineering. He has been involved in the development of many other programmes within the college. He is currently an external examiner for Limerick Institute of Technology. Keith also maintains the IT systems at his wife's business at MAGVA Design + Letterpress, a creative design and letterpress studio specialising in bespoke personal stationery and products. Specialities: Engineering Design for Sustainability Analysis including Finite Element Analysis 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing New Product Development
