About Keith Wilks

Experienced senior executive and non-executive director with three decades in maritime and ports and a rare blend of operational expertise, strategic leadership and commercial acumen across public and private settings. With a background spanning senior and advisory roles at major Australian ports and global operators, and as a qualified Master Mariner with firsthand maritime experience, I have a deep understanding of the complexity of the sector and supply chain networks. I’ve led large-scale strategic reform and growth initiatives, including port privatisation, digitisation, capital investment planning, and brand positioning and cultural change programs – experience that has helped Southern Ports transform from a regional port authority into a high-performing organisation delivering strong outcomes in trade growth, stakeholder trust and public value.I’m passionate about the role ports and infrastructure play in enabling regional development and economic resilience – and am committed to leading organisations with purpose and performance at their core.
