About Kellen M.

Misogynistic and racist political influence over sexual and reproductive healthcare is a human rights violation. I am eager to tackle complex healthcare issues facing vulnerable communities as a Nurse Practitioner. I am most interested in the integration of comprehensive sexual and reproductive healthcare services into accessible primary care settings. I find it rewarding to destigmatize and demystify topics in this area that are typically shrouded by misinformation and fear. This interest steered me towards unique training in family planning and urogynecology, where I gained experience helping patients navigate menopause, infertility, and abortion care. I am also trained in community-based primary care via Community Health Center, inc. in Middletown, CT and the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in West Haven, CT. My training emphasizes substance use treatment and harm reduction, as well as chronic disease management, through a patient-centered, trauma-informed lens.
