About Kelli Donovan

I am a passionate advocate for sustainable and ethical fashion, connecting people with their purchases through storytelling, experience and education. I am an award-winning designer with more than 25 years’ fashion industry experience, spanning design, retail and wholesale, I understands the complexities of the fashion industry and the great need for reducing fashion waste, creating sustainable manufacturing processes and fabrics, and ensuring ethical supply in all areas of the industry. I am the founder and lead designer for Australian ethical and sustainable fashion brand Pure Pod, and a keynote speaker and advocate for ethical and sustainable fashion, manufacturing and business practices. Prior to launching Pure Pod, I worked as a designer for several large companies designing children's clothing, menswear, licensed product and freelance fashion computer art. I am a mentor and Sustainable Fashion Consultant for fashion designers and fashion-industry business owners and look for a range of opportunities to support up-and-coming designers through my work with universities and vocational education institutes, as well as through workshops, conferences and seminars. This work also extends to my role as a team member for Fashion Revolution Australian and New Zealand, which celebrates everyone who is tackling the challenge of fairer supply chains. I am a Sustainable Fashion and product design consultant and designer. I am experienced in creating garments and products from specification and technical drawings through to a commercial product.
