About Kelli Porter

Experienced Underwater Acoustic Analyzer (Sonar Technician) with a demonstrated history of working in the military industry. I have accrued 6 years of underwater acoustic analysis experience. As a member of the sonar team, I was the secondary analyzer on the acoustic analysis team. I also coordinated strategies and tactics for ship maneuvers and lead the sonar team in acoustic analysis scenarios. During my military contract I also wore several different hats. I was a Training Coordinator and a Personnel Supervisor for my work center. I have organized, scheduled and conducted corrective maintenance on equipment. I also instructed and trained personnel on carrying out normal day operation tasks. I also was the lead enlisted member for the military's shipboard recreational group (MWR). I spent time organizing several recreational activities for over 300 personnel at my command during our in-port periods and while the ship was out to sea. In addition to MWR,(Morale, Welfare and Recreation) I also assisted in the coordination and scheduling of indoctrination for newcomers checking into the command. Prior to my military experience I attended Texas State University and received my Bachelor's Degree. My primary focus was Pre-Physical Therapy with a secondary focus in Psychology. I gained over 150 hours of clinical experience in the field and looking into attending Doctoral of Physical Therapy Programs to continue my education and begin work in the PT field. In my free time I enjoy playing video games. I am a large Legend of Zelda fan. So large I have a tattoo representing the game series and I enjoy playing a multitude of video games with my friends and my brother. My brother and I are planning on starting a video game stream together to do in our spare time. Outside of video games I enjoy binge watching shows, spending time with my family and friends, and trying new foods and wines. I like to consider myself an avid wine drinker;) I am very eager to return to the Health Care field and look forward to building my knowledge in gross motor skills and Kinesiology!
