As a Senior Account Manager and Appeals Policy Lead at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), I have over 20 years of experience in managing compliance operations of various Medicare related contracts to include Medicare Advantage, PACE, Marketplace Exchange, DSNP, and Part D. I managed the largest Part D plan within the New York Medicare Advantage Branch (department) for several years while serving as the Creditable Coverage and Retiree Drug Subsidy Subject Matter Expert. My primary responsibility as a Senior Account Manager was to provide technical guidance to foster/maintain compliance with regulatory requirements. I successfully employed best practice protocols to monitor my accounts' Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) with demonstrated results in enhancing operational efficiency. During my distinguished tenure with CMS, I have led numerous mission critical teams pertaining to Part C and D program audits, Employee Engagement, the Development of Policy and Procedures, and Medicare Appeals. I have served as an Executive Assistant to the Regional Administrator, served on two special assignments with the CMS Innovation and Financial Management Group as a Director of Innovation and Operations and as an Accountable Care Organization (ACO) Coordinator providing technical guidance to participating providers in the Seamless Care Models. In addition to these special assignments, I also had the privilege of leading the 2nd largest employee resource group impacting the professional development of over 400 CMS employees nationwide. I received numerous awards and recognition for my work to include the distinguished CMS Administrator's Award and the OPOLE Outstanding Performance Award. I believe my legacy with CMS reflects my deep commitment to encouraging compliance/ethics (my passion for doing the right thing, in the right way), professional excellence, quality health service delivery for all people but especially for the most vulnerable in our society, and bringing people together for a worthy common cause (strategic partnership development).
