Background

About Kelli Wainwright

I am an Associate Certified Coach (ACC) and Program Mentor at Western Governors University, where I lead with a focus on mentoring, performance management, and training. Over the past 14 years, I’ve combined my experience as a mentor, educator, and career coach to develop people, strengthen collaboration, and implement strategies that improve student persistence and mentor effectiveness. At WGU, I have facilitated cross-college training through the Foundational Coaching Skills program, launched collaborative mentor initiatives such as the Term 1 Collaboration Circle, and provided structured feedback to peers that reinforces institutional standards and strengthens consistency. Prior to WGU, I served as a K–5 Instructional Coach in Title 1 schools, where I guided faculty professional development, directed data-driven projects, and built a culture of growth and accountability. Alongside my work in higher education, I founded GAPS Coaching, LLC, where I support professionals navigating career transitions with clarity, confidence, and personalized strategies. I am also completing WGU’s Emerging Leader Program (expected October 2025), which builds skills in professional presence, strategic leadership, and talent management. I’m passionate about helping both students and professionals unlock their potential by aligning strengths, setting clear goals, and creating pathways for long-term success.
