About Kellie Bacon

Self-motivated research coordinator with a background as a pediatric Emergency Room Scribe, Lead Intern for the Medical Intelligence and Innovation Institute, and Emergency Room Researcher, with the passion to pursue a career as a pediatric physician. Throughout my time as a researcher, I have been able to effectively communicate with multiple parties from physicians to nurses to parents and patients to research administration. I am able to work independently with little oversight on my assigned tasks. I have experience screening, recruiting, and consenting patients and families of numerous investigator-initiated studies as well as inputting and cleaning the data after the study visit. I work effectively on a team of physicians, research coordinators students, and other research personnel within the emergency department. I have successfully led and facilitated multiple team meetings as well as prioritize team tasks into Microsoft 360 Planner. I am currently a graduate student pursuing a Masters in Public Health. I also have received a Bachelors of Science in Health Science and minors in Leadership Studies and Psychology
