Living in today’s urban communities requires a new set of rules. Strata or Body Corporate managers are responsible for administering these rules to create caring and harmonious communities. But does the current system serve the interest of Strata Management companies or the clients we serve? As a Strata Manager, I believe we have an obligation to provide world class services for property owners and the Committees who engage our services. I began Strata Influence to help Strata Management companies, Committee Members, Caretakers/Building Managers and property owners to better communicate and understand each other’s needs. During my 30 years in the property industry, I have held many positions in Body Corporate, Real Estate and Property Management. This experience has given me an insight into the issues faced by each sector and how they interact together. What I have found is a need for Strata Management companies to improve efficiency and systemized procedures to benefit our clients. Like any business, failure to modernise, plan and focus leads to high staff turnover, spiralling costs and limited growth. Through Strata Influence, I am able to assist key stakeholders in the strata communities through training and consultation services. I offer tailored programs for Committee Members looking to understand their responsibilities, and for Building Managers/Caretakers through the challenging initial stages of their new venture or initial appointment. I don’t just teach, I live it as well. Strata Influence applies best practice through body corporate consultancy services to a select number of boutique facilities. Given my extensive experience, I now assist strata companies to improve their operations by instigating new procedures, systems and training programs. I believe in giving back.
