About Kellie Esty

I have spent most of my life learning how to understand people and their needs. In high school it was key club, soccer and musicals. I always need to know what people needed and how I would contribute to, or deliver on those needs. Was it becoming a key club delegate? Was it improving my defensive thinking on the field? Was it singing a little softer to blend with a group? When I got to college it became something I wanted to address on a daily basis, so I majored in Communication and minored in Psychology. The interest became about improving my communications skills in order to better understand the needs of others. I found that working in retail was rewarding because I had to opportunity to help people feel good about themselves. I coupled my love for fashion with my love for helping people. As that love progressed I decided it would be a good "next step" to help others learn to productively communicate to help understand and deliver on the needs of others. So I got into retail management. I have been faced with the communicative challenges throughout journey and I have overcome them all. I am looking for opportunities to learn to be even more affective in the skills that I have and develop new skills along the way.
