About Kellie Hall

Since the year I have worked in the Technical Publication industry (for the DoD) and Configuration Management (CM). I have experience in technical writing, editing, and authoring/composing Technical Publications, along with different aspects of CM. • In the Technical Publication field, I have worked with both Sustainment and Modification manuals including Revisions, Supplements, Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs), Job Guides, Fault Isolations, General Systems, Work Packages, Work Unit Cards, Work Cards, Illustrated Parts Breakdowns (IPBs), Checklists, and Flight Manuals. • My knowledge in Configuration Management (CM) comprises of managing an electronic storage repository (MS SharePoint), handling permissions, controlling the flow of Engineering Drawings and Engineering Change Orders, providing version control for software, and storing/filing all internal and external forms and documents. I also achieved several CM tasks involving Technical Publications. Another endeavor I accomplished was to re-create and maintain all ISO processes, procedures, and forms. This included designing flowchart procedures using MS Visio. I modified forms to be more user-friendly, to have the ability to be digitally modified, and I enhanced the overall look of them. • I spent about five years helping my current employer's Electronic Warfare Department with their Software Documentation and Software Testing. I was responsible for providing quality assurance (proofreading for grammar, punctuation, consistency, etc.) and re-formatting of all documents before delivery. I also helped with updating Software User Manuals and Acceptance Test Procedures, tested software programs for errors/bugs, and analyzed test data. • I currently write technical publications where I analyze engineering drawings, figure out how the data will affect technical publications, and then convert that information into text and figures. I also love to work with process improvement and documentation such as User Guides/User Manuals. I co-lead my team in utilizing Atlassian Jira where I set up our workflows and Kanban boards to better track our processes and tasks. • I consider myself to be an expert at Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe Acrobat, and Microsoft Word. I am also proficient at Visio, PowerPoint, Excel, Jira, and Confluence.
