I am currently a primate keeper at Sydney Zoo, where I consistently strive to utilise my integrated skill sets and diverse experience in delivering results. As a resourceful and performance driven individual, I utilise my expertise in animal care and management to effectively manage complex tasks that ensure the wellbeing of animals living in captivity. I focus on details by combining my professional skills and 'know-how' to accomplish solutions with efficiency, meeting the organisations desired goals. I am a member of the Animal Training Academy, and hold Certificate 3 in Captive Animals. I have just started as the Tufted capuchin coordinator and studbook keeper and enjoying the challenge. Over the last 13 years, I've successfully utilised my skill sets, initiative, problem solving abilities and positive attitude to achieve outstanding results in managing captive wildlife. During this period, I served in various reputable zoos and organisations, thriving in my ability to be versatile in function, yet creative in action. I have a solid background in managing employees, animal husbandry including a key focus on diets and maintaining records; with a distinctive ability to handle diverse animal collections, both native and exotic. These include carnivores, primates, birds, native australian wildlife, ungulates and reptiles. I am a hard worker, highly ambitious and self motivated. But I prefer to take the extra step in staying unique and reaching my aspirations which is achieved by my effective communication and mediation skills with management and staff. My hobbies include reading, researching, visiting other wildlife destinations and spending quality time with family and friends.
