I have been practicing criminal law for over a decade. The focus of my practice is serious criminal matters, where penalties for the offences range from 2 years to life imprisonment. I conduct trials, sentences and appeals in the District Court and Supreme Court, as well as defended hearings, sentences and the like in the Local and Childrens Courts. I also appear in conviction, sentence and inadequacy appeals in the Court of Appeal and Court of Criminal Appeal. My advocacy experience includes representation of persons charged with: • operating aircraft causing death / serious injury • dangerous and negligent driving occasioning death / GBH • supply, manufacture, cultivate possession and importation of prohibited drugs including a large commercial quantity • reckless wounding, wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, cause fire with intent to endanger life • sexual assault (including child sexual assault and ‘gang rape’) • aggravated and specially aggravated break and enters (‘home invasions’) • robberies (including in company, and with weapons and violence causing injury) • shooting with intent to murder and firearm offences • kidnapping / detain for advantage • murder and manslaughter.
