About Kellse Nelson

Hi, I am Kellse Nelson, a Master of Science Child Development Child Life graduate. I am currently employed with Denton ISD as a special education resource/inclusion teacher. Prior to this experience, I was working as a substitute teacher for Denton ISD and as a paraprofessional for the district. During my undergraduate education, I was an active member of the Athenian Honor Society, Phi Kappa Phi, and Phi Upsilon Omicron Honor Societies and Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority at Texas Woman's University. Through the Honors Scholar Program, I have successfully completed the requirements of this high academic organization that include honors level coursework, volunteer work, social-cultural involvement, and a one-on-one experiential research project with a qualified faculty member. I also have served as a volunteer with children through a variety of places. While pursuing an education, I have worked on campus at Texas Woman's University with Honors Program and Career Connections. Furthermore, I have completed my Bachelor's degree in May 2020 in Child Development - Child Life with the honors of Magna Cum Laude.
