About Kelly Conger
As a recent PhD graduate from the University of Illinois Chicago, I have a strong background in physiology and biophysics, with a focus on cancer metabolism. I am passionate about discovering and characterizing novel molecular mechanisms and targets for cancer therapy, using metabolomics and GC/MS techniques. In my thesis work, I identified and characterized a new serine transporter in cancer cells, which has the potential for future therapeutic development. I also gained valuable teaching and mentoring experience. I am currently looking for either a post-doc or industry scientist role in the Chicago area, where I can apply and expand my skills and knowledge in cancer biology.
