About Kelly Dozier

In 1985 I joined Mad Dog Construction in Tallahassee and for over 10 years, I was the Design Director designing custom homes and serving as Project Manager on over 200 residential projects. In 1993 I began to manage the administrative end of the company and became a partner and Senior Vice President in 1995. I am currently Co-Owner and General Manager of Mad Dog Construction. I have served as Chair of the Lively Technical Center’s School Advisory Council, President of the Tallahassee Chapter of the National Association of Women in Construction, served as the Leon County representative of the Big Bend Workforce Development Board (now Workforce Plus), served as Vice-Chair of Whole Child Leon 2005-2007, President of LeMoyne Arts Board of Directors 2007-2009 and 2017-2018, is currently a member of the board of the Community Foundation of North Florida, a Lifetime Founding Member of The Oasis Center for Women & Girls, a member of the Whole Child Leadership Council, a member of the United Way of the Big Bend’s Community Investment and Agency Relations Committee, a member of Zonta International and a Village Square Founder. I was recently appointed to the Leon County Commission on the Stuatus of Women and Girls. I was honored in 2010 as one of the Tallahassee Democrat’s 25 Women You Need to Know and one of 12 Oasis Center for Women and Girls’ Trailblazers, she received the Tallahassee Democrat’s Volunteer of the Year Award in the Arts in 2008 for my work supporting the arts and my other volunteer efforts for the community. In 2008 recognized by President George Bush and awarded the President’s Call to Service Award for outstanding volunteer efforts. In 2002, I and husband, Laurie Dozier recognized by the Children’s Home Society of Florida as the Dave Thomas Child Advocates of the Year. February 21, 2002 was named Laurie and Kelly Dozier Day by the Leon County Commission in recognition of contributions made to the community. Specialties: Service and Solutions
