Human service and the human story are intimately interconnected. As a writer turned social worker, I have found that connection to be a reliable polestar in my professional journey. I see first hand how our experiences shape our stories and reflect the needs and the potential in each of us. Nurturing that potential, on an individual or community level, is one of my greatest professional joys.
