About Kelly Evans

Out of high school, i planned to work as a Coast Guard search and rescue agent. I attended EMT training through St. John’s hospital in Springfield, Missouri and became a Nationally Registered EMT-B. Immediately after, my boyfriend and I got married and moved to Austin, TX. I decided pursuing a career as a first responder wasn’t the best move for a healthy marriage, in my case. I worked retail, had many opportunities to become a manager, but declined them all. We had 3 children, my husband changed vocation and we moved to Southern California in 2008. At the encouragement of my local YMCA’s health and wellness director, I studied and became a certified personal trainer through ACE, I now also hold a health coach certificate and nutrition specialist certification through ACE. I am currently one of the top grossing trainers in our (YMCA of OC) area and coordinator for a health and wellness program at the Y. I’m passionate about lifestyle management and building a better quality of life given the stresses and strains we all have to put up with. My personal hobbies include hiking, mountain biking, rock climbing, surfing, beach volleyball and cooking.
