About Kelly Gerow

When I was ten, I took a career assessment at school that said I would be a funeral director, but I have always been a writer. With every job I've had, I've found an outlet for writing and editing. If I actually became a mortician, I'm sure I'd also be an enthusiastic contributor to the local morticians association's newsletter. I've worked in finance for 20+ years, starting as a branch teller, and working my way through consumer loan production, technical writing, and now communications. My focus is to help my coworkers on the "front line" get the information they need to deliver a great experience to our clients. Outside of finance, I've been a freelance writer for various publications, including the Richmond Times-Dispatch and RVANews. I'm passionate about supporting public education, women's issues, children's literacy, sustainability and reducing plastic and packaging waste.
