I started my career in the medical field in 2011 as a Medical Receptionist at a busy Urgent Care. In 2013 I enrolled in Carrington College's Medical Billing & Coding program where I earned with honors an Associates of Science degree in Medical Billing and Coding Studies. Shortly after completing the Billing & Coding program I sat for and passed the American Academy of Professional Coders Certified Professional Coder examination. After gaining a few years of experience, in 2015 I sat for and passed the American Academy of Professional Coders Certified Professional Biller examination. I've had the amazing opportunity to work for a Medical Management Company which has given me the privilege to acquire a tremendous amount of knowledge and experience in many aspects of the medical field including Coding, Billing, Credentialing, and Contracting for Professionals and Facilities in various medical specialties. In addition, I have gained experience in Medical Practice Management including but not limited to obtaining operating permits and licenses plus creating and implementing operational procedures and protocols. Throughout my time in the medical field, I realized the necessity of a Notary of Public and enrolled into Sierra Community College’s Notary of Public course in August 2016. After completion of this course, I sat for and passed the Notary of Public exam prescribed by the California Secretary of State and am currently waiting for my commission to be issued. I thrive to see the utilization and development of my own skills as to make a positive contribution towards the progress and success of my employer and their organization.
