About Kelsey Carpenter

I am a 2017 Upper Iowa University Honor’s graduate with a Bachelor of Science degree. While there I majored in Biology, minored in Chemistry, as well as completed my coaching endorsement. After graduation, I moved to the Des Moines area to attend graduate school at Des Moines University as a member of their Doctor of Physical Therapy program. After a semester of school, I decided to pursue a new career path and got hired as a Cards and ATM Specialist at Bankers Trust in downtown Des Moines. After working as a Specialist for 8 and a half months, I accepted a Cards and ATM Analyst position. I worked at Bankers Trust for about a year and a half and decided to relocate closer to home where I started working on my career as a Personal Banker at Luana Savings Bank. After 10 months as a Personal Banker, I accepted a new role as a Secondary Market Loan Processor, where I served the department for over a year. I helped our bank through one of their busiest lending years to date, processing hundreds of loans monthly. Recently, I celebrated a year in my current position at First Security Bank and Trust in Charles City as a Loan Assistant Supervisor. In this position, I work in the Ag/Comm Lending Department to provide lending services to our customers and oversee other loan assistants who are doing the same tasks. In my free time, I love being outdoors, taking pictures and spending time with family and friends.
