About Kelsey Duff

I am a learner as much as I am a teacher. I’m just as likely to get lost in the latest education journal article as I am to get lost on the river after signing up for a kayaking class. I pride myself on learning something new every day, sometimes from the most unusual places.I am passionate about making education equity a reality for the hundreds of students I’ve served in my classroom. These kids are creative, joyful, and limitless in potential, but longterm outcomes for their communities indicate their bright futures are at risk. The challenges facing our schools are not simple, and I will relentlessly explore all possible solutions because I know our students deserve a system that works for them. I believe in the power of data to tell a story, but I know it never tells the whole story. I am uniquely positioned with the skills to understand and analyze the latest policy research as well as a deep understanding of the reality on the ground. I have worked with students, parents, administrators, state agencies, and researchers to develop a thorough and varied perspective on US education. I try to make the system just a little better every day.I am interested in all things education. Let’ share teaching tips and policy ideas.
