Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist | Multidisciplinary Care Coordinator | Nursing Leader in Skin Cancer I am a dedicated Skin Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist at the Mater Hospital, where I have been passionately coordinating care for patients with melanoma and other skin cancers since November 2018. In this role, I bridge Dermatology, Plastic Surgery, and Oncology Services, ensuring seamless and holistic support for patients throughout their treatment journey. Before joining the skin cancer multidisciplinary team, I honed my expertise as a Dermatology Nurse at the Mater, managing a diverse range of skin disorders. My clinical background is grounded in comprehensive experience across Emergency, General Practice, and Aesthetic Nursing, equipping me with a well-rounded perspective on patient care. I hold a BSc in General Nursing from University College Dublin and recently completed a Master’s in Clinical Dermatology at the University of Hertfordshire, London. Additionally, I earned a Certificate in Prescribing Medicinal Products and Referring for Radiological Procedures from UCD in October 2021. I am proud to serve as the Nursing Representative to the National Leads for Skin Cancer with the National Cancer Control Programme. As the Chair of the National Cancer Control Programme Skin Cancer Nursing Group, established in 2019, I am committed to advancing nursing practice and patient care standards in skin cancer management. Since 2022 I am honored to become the first Chair of the Skin Cancer Nursing Satellite Symposium for the Irish Melanoma Forum. This role allows me to champion professional development and collaboration among skin cancer nurses across Ireland and Northern Ireland in the fields of Oncology, Dermatology and Plastic Surgery. I am excited about continuously expanding this platform to further support and empower the nursing community in delivering exceptional care.
