About Kelsey Standiford

I am a Medical Coding Specialist at Northwest Health Services, Inc, where I translate medical records into standardized codes for billing and reporting purposes. I have a certification in Medical Billing and Coding from Purdue University Global, where I am also pursuing an associate's degree in Business Administration and Management. I also have a certification in Medical Transcription from Hillyard Technical Center, and a high school diploma from Savannah High School. My core competencies include medical coding, communication, and leadership.Before joining Northwest Health Services, I worked as a Senior Correctional Officer at CoreCivic and a Correctional Officer at the Missouri Department of Corrections. In these roles, I gained valuable experience in conducting disciplinary hearings, writing incident reports, patrolling and inspecting the facility, and overseeing inmate activities. I developed strong skills in crisis management, teamwork, and problem-solving. I am motivated by the opportunity to contribute to the health and well-being of patients and providers, and to bring my diverse perspectives and experiences to the medical coding field.
