Senior Creative Industry Professional having worked across Streaming, Broadcasting, Radio, Publishing, Management and A&R for world renowned companies and individuals in those fields. I also co-founded SendMusic, which was the fastest and most secure way to Send Music files on the planet. I have a strong background in Radio at the BBC's most prominent youth brands (BBC Radio 1 & 1Xtra), having produced Diplo & Friends for a decade - which included bringing Diplo (one of Forbes Top 10 Highest Paid DJs in the world) to both networks in that process. Moving to Amazon Music, I led their +44 Playlist Brand, Podcast and Live Events including Wireless Festival in partnership with Live Nation and Rampage Sound's stage from Notting Hill Carnival. I've previously produced shows with household names at Radio 1 including Annie Nightingale, Pete Tong, Dave Pearce, Steve Lamacq, Bobby Friction & Nihal and Kutski. At 1Xtra I've helped develop the best in black music talent including Trevor Nelson, Mistajam, DJ Cameo, DJ Target (Roll Deep), Bailey, Crissy Criss, Seani B & Ronnie Herel. I've been part of show teams that have won Silver and Bronze awards at the annual Sony Radio Awards (also winning Gold as station of the year) whilst producing shows from numerous events across the UK and abroad (Majorca Rocks, Notting Hill Carnival, India and more). I voted at both the MOBO's and the BRITs and I've also spoken at Westminster University and Music4Point5 seminars about audiences and engagement on platforms. Whilst producing shows for BBC Radio 1 and 1Xtra, I spent time in Artist Management and A&R, having worked with First Access Entertainment and Grammy-nominated production outfit The Invisible Men. Completing my Executive MBA in 2024, I'm excited in new business models, concepts and frameworks across platforms and in general the evolution of Tech and how it impacts the creative industries. Along with building my own startup, I'm an investor and mentor at The Rattle (based in Tobacco Dockyard) and previously part of Music 4.5's Editorial Board. For emerging music artists and content creators, I'm a real advocate in building your fanbase and leveraging that power to force platforms like Radio 1 and others to support you.
