About Kemi Matos

My professional journey began at Énois, an NGO that empowers young talents through journalism. As a reporter, I published in major outlets such as Nexo and UOL and co-authored Prato Firmeza, an award-winning gastronomic guide that promotes healthy eating in São Paulo’s favelas. I quickly discovered my passion for building impactful projects with a powerful team, which led me to MESA Company, a consulting firm with a proprietary method where business challenges are solved in five days by multidisciplinary teams. As a curator and leader, I was responsible for managing global talent and leading stakeholders at various levels, including C-level executives and internal teams from brands like Google, Coca-Cola, Nestlé, Medley, and Instituto Butantan. My role involved not only identifying the best experts but also leading the team in building new solutions, ensuring strategic alignment and effective collaboration. Later, I joined Rede Globo, working on the Big Brother Brasil content team, where I returned to the content field. Our mission was to engage and educate the audience on relevant social topics. For two years, I ran my own studio, Jacobina, focusing on curation and leadership of creative sprints, where I developed projects for clients such as Itaú, Netflix, Ambev, and Natura, as well as social impact initiatives with IDB and Coalizão Negra por Direitos. Currently, as a Membership Manager at Soho House, I manage the development of an engaged and diverse community, connecting people and ensuring an experience aligned with the brand’s values. This role requires strategic relationship management, member retention, and collaboration with multiple stakeholders. Oh, and I’m 24 years old.
