As a Fire Code Specialist at the Seattle Fire Department, I apply my experience in fire investigation, plan review, and code enforcement to ensure the safety and compliance of buildings and occupancies. I have over 30 years of experience in the fire service, including serving as the Fire Code Official while supervising the Fire System Engineering Unit at the Tucson Fire Department, and serving as a Fire Marshal at the City of Puyallup and the Lakewood Fire Department. I also run my own consulting and training business, Fire Code Consultant LLC, where I provide guidance and education to various clients on fire code issues. My core competencies include fire prevention, fire protection, fire inspection, fire education, and fire policy development. I am passionate about advancing the field of fire code and promoting best practices and standards.
