Making the impossible possible in the realm of space exploration has been my lifelong passion. With a professional journey spanning four decades in the space sector, I've had the privilege of wearing many hats and contributing to the advancement of space science and education. My 20-year tenure at NASA, 14 years at the FAA’s Office of Commercial Space Transportation, and several years in private industry and academia have all been stepping stones in my mission to educate and inspire the next generation of space explorers. As Vice President of North American Operations for the International Space University, I continue to shape and guide future leaders in the space industry. Your future in space starts at ISU! Concurrently, I serve as Editor-in-Chief of the New Space journal, ensuring that insightful and innovative research reaches a global audience. In my role as an Adjunct Professor at Virginia Tech's Pamplin College of Business, I bridge the gap between business and space science, educating students on the intersection of these dynamic fields. As the owner of Impossible Research, I bring cutting-edge research and STEAM outreach to the forefront, further fueling my passion for innovation and learning. Beyond these roles, I am honored to be an Associate Fellow of the AIAA and a Full Member of the International Academy of Astronautics, actively participating as an officer or advisor on multiple international committees and groups. With degrees in Aeronautical and Astronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and a doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on market-level organizational change, innovation, and space market emergence, I am fully committed to pushing the boundaries of what we believe to be possible in the space sector. As we stand on the threshold of a new era in space exploration and development, I am eager to continue contributing to this exciting and ever-evolving field. Together, we can reach for the stars!
